Finally got
around to unpacking my final bag of college stuff (I know it has been over
three weeks…don’t judge me I’ve been busy doing nothing!). In doing this
realised I have a ridiculous amount of clothes… so may say too may but can you
really have too many I mean you gotta be prepared for every and any eventuality
after all.
So amidst the
mass of books clothes and knick knacks found this dress that I’ve had it aggges
and literally only wore it a handful of times. The main reason being I don’t
actually like it on me. Love the colour but the fit just doesn’t look well on
me at all.
And what
better way to spend your evening than remodelling a dress! Decided needed to
get rid of the nasty elasticated band at the bottom. It was way too restrictive
and just made the dress a weird shape. Took longer than expected because of the
weird way the elastic was sown in.
Also decided
the shoulders needed re shaping as the overall outline wasn’t that flattering,
so unpicked the seam and split the sleeves in 2. Then crossed them over and re-stitched
them. Wasn’t delighted at the way they turned out but better than it was.
Happy enough
with the overall effect…will do nicely for Greece in 2 weeks J #excited !! Then
thinking of lengthening it with some white lacy material so it more appropriate
for work, will update if decided to do it ;)
That’s all
peeps J
