Just as I was
completely despairing at my lack of life strategy and generally wallowing ion a
feeling of disappear at the prospect at being stuck at home in the country for the rest of my life! I received a lovely
email offering me a position volunteering in the Florida Keys in the US of A. J. Beyond excited! I don’t have an
official departure date yet but it will be around October giving me plenty of
time to get myself in order and annoy everyone around me with my innate
excitement!!...did I mention I can’t wait!

Somebody had
the cheek to already check out the one specifically on Florida…do they not know
how excited I am!!! Ha….I’m on the waiting list though so hopefully I’ll get it
next week and can go into full planning/research mode J
However some
fun facts I have picked up about America in general include
- They have a population is 288.4 million…that is A LOT of people! I mean Ireland only has a population of 4.5 million (I know I know we are a waay smaller country but still that is a lot of peeps)
- In 1955, Disneyland opened. It makes my heart happy to know this J
- Maps of New York look confusing!! Although I wont be staying there I hope to visit my cousin living there at the minute…she a journalist in NYC it’s the things dreams are made of really. But yeah by the looks of it New York (if I get there) is going to make it onto the every going list of “places I got lost”.
